Experience Run on an Winter Evening

Two running distances are available, 5 km and 10 km, suitable for both recreational runners and more experienced athletes. The routes mainly follow outdoor trails, where a captivating, safe, and visually striking environment has been created.

Dark Run Winter

On Friday, February 20th, 2026, Dark Run Winter takes place in Lahti – a winter trail running experience where the rugged winter tracks of Salpausselkä, the quiet forest darkness, and the runners’ own beams of light create a truly unique atmosphere.

The route follows mainly the winter trails of Salpausselkä, where snow crunches underfoot and the surrounding forest grows quieter as evening falls. Dark Run Winter is more than just a run – it’s a full sensory experience of nature, calm, and the power of movement.

Join us to light up the winter evening and discover a trail experience like no other.

Experience the Darkness

The Dark Run is not just a race – it’s an experience that highlights the beauty of autumn nature, the mystery of darkness, and the shared moments among participants. A headlamp is a mandatory piece of equipment and an essential part of the event’s identity.
The event is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Upcoming Events

The Dark Run event in autumn 2025 was a huge success. In 2026, two Dark Run events will be held in Lahti: Winter Edition in February and an even darker event at the end of October (date to be confirmed).
