The Autumn 2026 Dark Run is a night race through the scenic autumn landscapes of Salpausselä. The October darkness, wet forest trails, and the beams of headlamps create an atmosphere unlike anything else. This is not just a run – it is an experience.

EVENT CENTRE
The event centre is located at Lahti Sports Centre, more specifically at Karpalo Field, in front of the Karpalo ski jumps.
Changing Rooms & Showers
Shower and sauna facilities at the ski jump grandstand.
In addition to the toilets in the changing rooms, the street-level toilets in the Sports Centre grandstand building are also available (the 2 nearest toilets).
AID STATIONS
The 10 km route has two aid stations and the 5 km route has one aid station. Aid stations offer sweets, sports drinks, and water.
At the finish line, all participants will receive a Vitamin Well Care drink, a Barebells bar, and a Lahti Aqua water carton.
ROUTES
Both distances are run on darkened outdoor routes. The running surface is partly gravel, but part of the route consists of relatively easy-going wide trails on old ski track bases. The furthest point of the 10 km route is at the Tapanila ski cabin.
Results
The race uses an electronic timing system; chips are attached to the race bib.
The prize ceremony takes place at 8:15 PM. The top three finishers in both the 5 km and 10 km distances will be awarded, and there will also be raffle prizes among all participants.
